Pirrama Park, Pyrmont, NSW

Pirrama Road, Pyrmont  NSW  2046

Activities and play areas
Pyrmont is located west of Sydney CBD, just around from Cockle Bay and Darling Harbour. This landscaped park offers enough play areas and facilities for kids of all ages and a family day out.

Playground ground cover: Barkchips under play equipment. Concrete at water play. Sand play and open grassed areas.
Paths: Yes - the wide foreshore esplanade frames the peninsula.
Sand play: Yes - it provides wet and dry sand play and is partially shaded.
Water play (non swim): Yes - timed jets of water which come out in an arc so kids can  try to go under them.

Swimming: There is access to the harbour via stairs near the pontoon, though not officially a swimming spot.
Large open grassed area: Yes, along the waterfront and paths. Plenty of space for picnics and games (just don't kick balls too close to the water!)

Opening times: N/A
Fencing: No fencing around the playground nor at the water's edge.
Shading: Some filtered shade over the BBQ area and some of the seating near the water play. Sheltered seating area near the cafe, but quite high so the sunshine comes in from the sides. Umbrellas provide partial shade over the sand play. Trees scattered throughout the park.

Rubbish bins / recycling: Bins for general waste.
Signs, restrictions: Unsure.
Power and lights: Lampposts throughout the park.
